Andy was born and raised in the Edgewater neighborhood of Chicago. He has been connected with Edgewater Baptist Church his entire life and his father, Jim Shedd, was the Senior Pastor for many years. Andy graduated from Sullivan High School and went on to play football at Wheaton College. After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in political science, he taught for two years in Rubio, Venezuela. He came back to the neighborhood and began to serve with Safeplace, EBC's after school program and summer day camp. Andy recently accepted the call to serve as Interim Student Ministries Pastor. Andy and his wife, Natalie, have two children, Simeon and Haven. Andy enjoys spending time with his family, staying active, and pursuing world domination (while playing Risk).
