February 4th, 2009Safeplace is alive and well, and now on the web! We’re glad you chose to visit us here and hope that you return again soon learn more about what GOD is doing in this place! He is sure at work. Our theme this semester is “Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near!” Each week a 20-30 minute Bible lesson is taught and we sing songs from Hillsong Kids Worship. In the fall we focused on Old Testament stories and this semester we’re teaching a parable a week. The kids are memorizing what a parable is, our theme verse and what each parable’s heavenly meaning is about. On Monday at Family Time we learned about the lost coin and the lost sheep. Then the children were given the option of sticking back while the others were dismissed if they wanted to speak with a leader about their desire to repent and follow God. A few stayed back and had a great one-on-one teaching time. It’s amazing to see children’s hearts so sincere and amazed by our great God and be touched by the Love of Christ! I can’t wait to see how God uses these precious souls to further his kingdom!
